Duviri is a rogue lite mode to the game, that has some ties to the main game. Think of it moreso as a mini game. Unlocking Warframes can be done through quests, bounties, specific missions, and bosses. You need to get all of the blueprints for the pieces, typically a chassis, systems, and neuroptics.

Volnus is also really good as a status-heavy hammer, not to mention its majority of damage in slash. You may potato either or both for the best results.
Felarx tears apart stuff in level 200 steel path survival. Haven't taken it much further than 40 minutes in there but that's as late game as you really need. Perigale has been fun.
