Jungle Mordekaiser is stupid strong and playable into Master and Grandmaster given enough practice and skill. He has stupid good clear speed especially in season 13, his tanks pre-6 leave a lot to desired but are doable. When you hit level 6 you enjoy unescapable ganks with very little counter play.

He's a "hard counter" to immobile champs but it has to be in quotes because immobile champs STILL have legs, or ghost. Morde isnt a normal top laner purely because he is an AP juggernaut and most toplaners are AD. He also isnt normal because he has 0 reliable damage ability, so despite being braindead he's not necessarily reliable. sheriffmayo69.

I take attack speed, armor and adaptive force on the small runes. For items, I like can recommend Riftmaker or Nightharvester if you want to go full AP.

In the current meta, Olaf is insanely strong and a huge counter to Morde, and I struggled to play against him in quite a few games, because ghost and Olaf R make it impossible to run away from him.
