Sep 27, 2019 · afton,ny. Tractor. mahindra 3215 ford 6600 ford 8N. I recently installed a new injector pump on my ford 6600. The problem i am having is i can not seem to get it to run smooth. I aligned the timing marks up just like the old one i took off but it smoked alot when i got it bled out and up and running looking for any suggesetions to help me out. Luckily, I had the pump rebuilt before starting the engine. Incidentally, D5NN6015F is your engine casting number - 175 cubic inches in a 3600. To find you serial number, model number, and production code look on the flat spot just above and behind the starter. These numbers are hand-stamped into the metal and are sometimes difficult to read.Check the front axle for wear in the king pins and joints. Check the 3 pt lift goes up and down smoothly. Check the clutch works properly ( try pulling away in 7th or 8t) on the flat) and test the brakes. If it has a bubble cab then rust could be a real issue. Tyres are expensive.
