Do the harder one. Master is not required nor does it affect the drop rate. I ran around 30 normal wellspring in 2 days and got the other 2 to drop last weekend within those runs. You'll get them quicker is all. after you get your first one from the investigation board, the other two patterns come from wellspring.

We had loot drop problems with Astral Alignment for supposedly the same reason. Wellspring is a 6-player activity with a ton of adds and ability spam. I know that the pattern comes from activity completion and not the chest, so I’m wondering if the this is problem could be in-play here. I played enough Wellspring back in the 1st season of Witchqueen to unlock all the legendary patterns. I have also done weekly Master Wellsprings until reaching Pinnacle cap in each season. And I still only have the one Exotic Glaive that I unlocked through the quest. Whatever the drop rate for the remaining two patterns is, it's way too damned low.
