I had the p0026 (p0028 actually) after a head gasket job on my old 2010 Legacy 2.5. I had sent the heads in without removing the 4 bolts that hold the VVL assembly to the head. The machinist threw the heads in the wash, milled them and washed them again and returned them. Buttoned it all back up and bang--p0028.
