All "Pollution" settings can be changed without disabling the achievements, the result is that enemies no longer attack your base. All "Enemy expansion" settings can ... keep shuffling seeds in the preview until none of the starter ores are mixing together and there's no cliffs on top of them. not being in a desert will also be helpful for managing pollution. it'll take you a while, but you'll find one eventually. I would also add having water surround a great deal of your spawn.
