EFI engines are quite particular about the plug condition and gap. Smoking at start up is often the valve guides leaking oil down into the cylinder when it's sitting. Oct 5, 2018 · In my 2000 Suzuki King Quad (300). I use Suzuki brand motorcycle oil, (10W40). However, I would use a thinner viscosity oil like 5W30 during the winter months. Suzuki however does not make a SAE 5W30 viscosity, so you’ll have to find an alternative brand with a similar viscosity that is JASO-MA approved for motorcycles.
