General Sully Discussion starter. 13 posts · Joined 2016. #7 · Jun 5, 2016. Well the dealerships mechanic called Fri and said it was the spark plugs. Hard to believe since they were changed out 3 weeks ago when I had my 25 hr break-in oil change done. They changed oil, filters and the plugs.
New plug gapped to .0325. Because the engine doesn't run the battery isn't recharged as I try to start it. I externally charge the battery to between 12.6 & 13.0. I just ordered a new solenoid as it didn't ohm out 2.5 + or - 20%. Once that is installed (and works!!!!) I'll look at the no spark issue. Both test at 1017 ohms. (proper number is 1000 ohms +/- 10%) - The coil measures at 2.2 ohms on each part of the primary side (1-2 and 2-3). Book says 0.4 ohms.
