The mag fits loosely in the magwell, lot of travel both side to side; and forward and backward. In my testing; I was not able to knock the mag out of the gun, or prevent it from feeding shells into the action.I think the "third pin" is treated slightly different if a permanent necessary component is attached using a rivet that happens to be in the general location. Vs. just having a rivet to fill the hole.. ATF did look at the firearm and approve its import.
