Up for auction is this Lefever nitro-special double-barrel shotgun in the .12-gauge. 28-inch barrel, with the 2-3/4-inch chambers. Not sure of the choke, both barrels are marked number-4, on the water table. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny. I just bought a Lefever Nitro Special 12ga with 30" barrels. S/N indicates manufacture in 1927. BEAUTIFUL gun. Superb mechanical condition. The bone charcoal case hardening is still quite visible on the bottom, and just a bit worn off on the sides. Checkering is still visible, but worn down quite a bit.
