Why are shell gas stations changing to circle k.

This Circle K is smaller than other locations I frequent, but just as busy, and offers Shell brand gasoline. Employees are pleasant, and the store is fairly clean & well-stocked. Even though this location has four Shell gas pumps on both sides of the building (8 total), everything feels very tight on this corner.Anyone have any insight on why so many Shell gas stations have switched to Circle K recently?
