Jeep wrangler carplay not working.

Sep 25, 2023 · CarPlay not working with iPhone 15pro Hello there, I have jeep grand Cherokee 2019 model. I was using iPhone 13 and CarPlay was working good with usb cable. Now I got iPhone 15 but my CarPlay is not working. I have usb port attach to my car. So used lightning to usb-c adapter to connect my phone. But still car play is not working. Yep. I've experienced a similar issue a couple times on my 2024 Rubicon 4xe. plugged into the center console USB to charge, listening to SXM through the jeep radio (not carplay), the source will switch to carplay randomly. will keep track of it and post more here. For further clarification-Due to a specification change from Apple, CarPlay was no longer able to be used from the center console or rear USB ports on any vehicle with software application level IR22.5 or higher. On USB2, it will work for maybe a minute or two, then freeze to indicate that it is disconnecting. It usually reconnects after unplugging and plugging back in, but then will do it again after a couple of minutes. I will admit to not having the vehicle very long, so my sample rate is not big, but it has happened often enough to indicate a problem.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a CarPlay issue. The console USB connection comes from the center dash USB (if you take the center part off it’s the black micro USB connection on the right).
