Hello All - Recently purchased an HK45 Compact Tactical (v1 - decock and manual safety). Went to the range with it for the first time yesterday and wanted to share my opinion and a few photos. By the way new to the forum and first time out shooting a handgun! Think I did fairly well. The pistol fit my hand well and I enjoyed shooting it very much.

Place the holster on a piece and trace the guard area that pokes you, allowing for a bit extra to cover over top of the edge maybe 1/4". For the part touching your skin, it only needs to cover about 3/4" from the edge down. Remove the sticky back and apply to the holster. You actually replace the roll pin in the sear any and every time you pull the sear out ? The gray guns kit includes one that is slightly longer. The past debates have been about leaving the sear alone, or replacing with one from kit.In my hand, the g30sf is a softer shooter. That being said, my hk45c is the more accurate pistol for me, clunky V1 trigger and all. I still carry a p2000v3 in 9mm in the rotation, so that probably has something to do with it. I like the HK 45C (and the HK45 btw). As someone mentioned above (maybe you) that it's odd that the full size HK45 seemed to be designed off the P30, while the HK45C seemed to have been designed by their P2000 engineers. I prefer the P30 ergonomics, and strongly wish they'd made the HK45C to mimic the size and shape of the P30.I know it drives the mods nuts when old threads are pulled forward, but this is a great solution for those uncomfortable with modifying the grip and hopefully will help to sell more HK45C/CT. The factory HK45c grip is slippier because the grip pattern is less aggressive and thinner (no palm swells) than the HK45 and P30. It takes more time and effort to master the grip to maintain a firm no-slip hold shot-to-shot. But of course, you can always buy and Talon grip or a Hogue Handall to make the grip better.
