We (two adults, teen, and 12 yr old) will be there Oct. 10-12. I hate to spend the money on the mountain one, then there not be a view that day, but I know that's a chance you take.
Luckily, the cog.railway opened back up and we called for reservations. Check in was simple and the staff friendly. Once on the train, our guide, Allison, was awesome. Weather in the Whites can be different from weather north or south. And weather on Mt. The online buying process was easy, with seat assignments, and the instructions for arrival were clear. Parking was easy, so long as you followed the instructions. Some perks of riding the train as opposed to driving the Pikes Peak highway are: 1. Everyone can enjoy the scenery as no one has to focus on driving, you get to learn some of the history of the mountain, and points of interest are pointed out, 3.
