PvE can also be divided into 2 categories - Open world (or personal story) and endgame (raids / fractals / strike missions) For open world PvE, necro is probably the best beginner class and all 3 variants (core, reaper, and scourge) are fantastic. If you’re going for scourge just get full vipers gear or get berserker if you’re going for reaper and you’ll get a free scepter which does have the viper stat I believe. Vipers stats are probably the best. You probably should get condi gear with dungeons first so you actually play the class first before optimizing it.
