Jun 7, 2014 · There are just not enough Accord CVTs with a lot of miles (over 75k miles) to know what problems these CVTs will have. You can't fix problems if you don't know what they are. Honda Odyssey (1999-2004) had a lot of transmission failures but they did not occur untill 60k-80k miles. Honda did not fix the problem until 2007 model. Even been doing the CVT fluid change every 30k miles per honda recommendation. So the first 30k oil and CVT fluids were changed when needed to by dealership. After that I got tired of spending 75 bucks for an oil change. So I started doing them myself. Took car back to dealer at 60k for CVT fluid change. Well just recently hit the 90k mark.

The 2018 Accord only comes with a 4 cylinder engine. The Hybrid's 4 cylinder engine is a 2.0 liter, but is naturally aspirated (no turbo). Technically, it does NOT have a transmission.
