The Wolf does have a Bergara barrel. It's the same barrel the Optima has, but shorter. The Impact does not have a GM barrel. It is the same as the Omega barrel though. I used to have a Wolf, and it was very accurate. No problems at all with it. Never owned an Impact, but did have an Omega. I didn't like the one I had, but it's a popular gun.

I don't know a ton about the traditions inlines but the difference between the CVA wolf and Optima is non-trivial. Better trigger, better release lever design, supposedly a better barrel( similar to the one used in the accura), little bit different stock shape.
