The franchi is the 3 inch less fancy version of the benelli. Benelli sbe2 will shoot 3.5 inch ao if you want to shoot those go with the benelli. I'm personally a super black eagle fan boy so if you have the money I'd recommend that. But in all honesty they're both great guns that run on the same inertia operating system.Franchi Elite Vs. The Franchi is similar to the M2 but not the same. Like I didn't buy a different model Benelli, similar but not the same as the M2. Preference for one over the other nothing more. I thonk the A300 is a better gun for the $. Adjustable LOP and comb. Well, the Affinity also has adjustable comb and length of pull. It's basically an M2 in Franchi skin at substantially the same price point as the Outlander. If you are only using the gun for hunting, 3.5” chamber is fine.For 200-300 more than a Stoeger and ~400 less than an M2, you get most of the Benelli quality and better parts compatibility with the M2 to boot.
