Springfield prodigy vs staccato p.
Like I said, I’ve never had a 1911 before so I don’t have anything to compare it to other than my striker fired guns. I’ve been looking at Staccatos for the last few weeks and was tempted until I learned about the prodigy a week ago. The Staccato is probably the better but I don’t know if it’s going to be $1200 better.
Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. If you just want a range toy and can afford $700 more the Staccato in steel would be nice too. Should look at the Staccato C2 as a better comparison to the Prodigy FWIW.. If you don't care about weight and $700 is a lot of scratch to you then look hard at the Prodigy. No doubt the Staccato is a higher quality gun. But the Prodigy fills a niche too.
