But it is a Series 10 (not listed as a Ranger, but under Ranger) A10RB42AA - I found a parts list for it and the service manual number is 9916586 (same manual for a 00, 01, 02 and 03 Diesel), but I do not have that manual. Lube all the threads on the bolts and the puller. Tighten down on it. If it doesnt come right off u may have to heat the flywheel around the center, make sure the puller is good and tight and hit the puller (the part u turn to pull the part) with a hammer a few good times. 2000 Xplorer 400 4x4. .040 over, head shaved .020.Hi Guys-. We've checked the coils the computer and the CPS and I am lost please any help is greatly appreciated to get me in the ...Remove one of the coils, from the spark plug. Use an extra spark plug. A spark plug tester. Or even a screwdriver, in the end of the coil. Ground it on a piece of metal on the engine. Finally, have someone crank the engine, and watch for a spark. No spark, indicates an ignition problem.

Removing the cutoff wire doesn’t change anything. New plug, new plug cap, wire, ignition coil, tried different CDI, still no change.

I know it's harder to get to on the 570, but with my machine it's less than 5 minutes to get it up and running if it's the plug.

After replacing the whole ignition system (ignition coil, stator with pickup coil, plug, wire, CDI, voltage regulator, solenoid) I still have no spark. I checked the ETC and it's working fine. I even adjusted the cable a bit.

The wires going to the crank position sensor were shorted together. The short was beneath the plastic loom.
