The 7.4 MPI has a 2 bolt block, cast crank, 3/8 rods, cast pistons, peanut oval port heads with smaller valves,etc. Not a good platform to modify.Get some 4" aluminum angle, 3/8 or 1/2" thick. Then get a plate of flat 3/8 or 1/2" to make plates for the back side. You can then get a used or new, offshore mount, from hardin marine, or swap shop here. It bolts to the engine block, then gets bolted to the aluminum L brackets. It has Hardin two stage sea water pumps, boat pumped water on the hose with no issue. I learned a few things, 1st was that the owner from Canada can't bring the boat to the US to sell. He can bring it to the border but you as the buyer must bring it into the US. If the boat, motor and trailer were built in the US, there are no duties or taxes to bring it back to the US if YOU are the one bringing it in.
