Nissan xterra vdc off slip reset.
Most alignment shops won't do this. If the steering angle sensor is way off, the VDC light will stay on and the system will not work at all. If it is only slightly off, it can confuse the computer. The VDC system uses input from the steering sensor, wheel speed sensors, and yaw rate/side/decel g sensor.

I have an aftermarket Remote Start and Alarm installed and Warrantied by Nissan of Queens but they can't seem to figure out the problem but say its because my Brake Pads are low.I took my cables off my battery to reset my ecu and the vdc/slip light was on, It took about 3 miles before they went off, maybe just drive it a little. 2006 Pathfinder KMA Wincher,Kool-Vue Intake, SE Stealth Wheels and Grille, Bilstein 5100 Adj. shocks, AC Rear Lift Coils, Hella 500, Pro Comp Fog lights.GJBenn85. They turned them off in under 5 minutes, it was free and i didn't have to wait. they did it right away. After taking the clock spring out a few times and studying the issue, I noticed that the steering wheel/the alignment was off-center. If you read about the VDC, you will find that it is integral to the angle sensor. After much research and thought, I decided to ask the dealer to align (front toe) the Armada and then reset the VDC/Slip light.

On start this AM the VDC and REAR DIFF lights illuminate. If I hit the rear diff switch the REAR DIFF light goes out and then ABS and SLIP come on. I can hear the 4wd engage both high and low when I turn it on with my door open. I have had the slip light coming on and off for years. Finally, the ABS light came on as well. I took it to Nissan to have the code scanned (free), and he told me that a pressure sensor was bad and that the engine wiring harness was bad related to the passenger wheel speed sensor. They quoted me $497 to fix those items.
