Apr 26, 2014 · My thought is the feed will go to the fuel pump then to the larger output line from the fuel pump. Anyone have a picture of the fuel pump lines. Follow the line to the fuel filter. If you are replacing the hard lines, you can use a flaring tool to put a little bubble flare on the ends of the lines to give a good grip on the rubber hose/clamps. Same with the vapor hard line. I've got an 88 Wrangler 2.5 EFI 5 spd. There are no visible disconnected hoses or ports at the engine that I can find. Got a lot of obstacles to overcome (mainly wiring-don't have the donor XJ bulkhead harness) and the one that I am working on right now is the fuel delivery.

As for the plumbing, run all -6 AN hose for supply and return. AN sizing is in 16ths of an inch so -6 = 6/16 or 3/8". You can get -8 to -6 reducers for the fittings on the cell.May 20, 2013. #2. You can either drop the tank or make a clever access hole. Just don't blow yourself up. When you fix the lines be sure and use fuel injection line not regular rubber hose. And use fuel injection hose clamps, the regular clamps like to dig into the hose and weaken it. Take good measurements because the hose runs about $6 a foot.

The jeep system is a weird blend of a return and returnless system, but its actually a return system, where the FPR is inside the tank, along with the return line and the feed line goes to the engine. (semi returnless because there is not a return line from the engine back to the tank) Actual returnless systems are controlled by the ECU.

To mitigate the fuel siphon effect, some of us have installed an aftermarket one way valve between the fuel filter and the metal return line.
